How working with Funnelyn actually works
Funnelyn is a Jakarta performance media-buying firm. We connect to your ad accounts across Meta, TikTok Shop, Google/YouTube, Shopify, and programmatic, then run your spend against one number — your ROAS or CAC target. This is the guide to the engagement: onboarding, access, reporting, creative, and billing.
Getting started
Once the agreement is signed, you are assigned a media buyer and a client partner. Within 48 hours we send a single onboarding link that collects everything we need: account IDs, brand assets, your target ROAS or CAC, and your offer economics (AOV, margin, payback window). No long forms — most of it we pull ourselves once access is granted.
The first two weeks
Days 1–3 · Kickoff & access
A 45-minute call to align on the target, the offer, and what “good” looks like. You grant access to your ad accounts (next section). We audit existing campaigns, spend history, and tracking.
Days 4–7 · Tracking & structure
We fix the conversions API and event quality first — nothing else works without clean signal. In parallel we rebuild the account structure and brief the first wave of creative.
Days 8–14 · Launch & learn
Campaigns go live and enter the learning phase. Expect volatility in week two — we are buying data, not chasing the target yet. Your first weekly call covers what we are seeing and the plan to scale.
Connecting your ad accounts
We run inside your accounts, not ours. That means you keep ownership of every ad account, Page, pixel, dataset, and custom audience we build — if we ever part ways, none of it leaves with us. We only ask for the access level required to do the work, and you can revoke it instantly.
Meta Business Manager
Add Funnelyn as a partner to your Business Manager and assign us Advertise/Manage access on your ad account, Page, and pixel. We never request ownership — you stay the admin and can revoke us in two clicks.
TikTok Ads & TikTok Shop
Invite us to your TikTok Ads Manager via Business Center, and grant Operator access to the Shop where we run ads against your catalogue. Your seller account and storefront remain entirely yours.
Google Ads & YouTube
Share your Google Ads account with our manager (MCC) ID at the Standard access level. For YouTube placements we only need linked-account access — no control of your channel.
Shopify
Add us as collaborators (or staff with Reports, Orders, and Marketing permissions) so we can read revenue truth and wire up server-side events. We do not touch payouts, themes, or customer PII exports.

Tracking & the conversions API
Modern ad platforms optimise toward whatever you tell them is a conversion. If that signal is missing, duplicated, or fired late, the algorithm learns the wrong lesson and your cost-per-result drifts — no amount of bidding skill fixes bad data. Tracking is the first thing we repair and the thing we guard hardest.
What we fix
- Server-side events. We deploy the conversions API on each platform (Meta CAPI, TikTok Events API, Google Enhanced Conversions) so purchases are reported server-to-server, surviving ad blockers and iOS privacy limits.
- Deduplication. Browser and server events are matched on a shared event ID so a single sale is never counted twice.
- Revenue truth. We reconcile platform-reported conversions against your Shopify orders, so the ROAS we report is grounded in real money, not an inflated in-platform number.
- Match quality. We pass hashed first-party signals (email, phone) where you have consent to lift event match quality and recover attribution.

Reporting
We report against one north-star metric — blended ROAS or CAC, agreed during kickoff. Vanity metrics like impressions and CTR are tools we use, not goals we celebrate. If the north-star is healthy and the business is growing, we are winning; if it is not, that is the conversation.
The weekly call
A standing 30-minute call with your buyer and client partner. We walk through last week’s performance against the target, what we changed and why, the creative that won or lost, and the plan for the week ahead. You will always leave knowing the single number and the next move. Between calls, the dashboard is live and your buyer is one message away.
Creative
On Meta and TikTok, creative is the biggest lever on performance — bigger than bidding or targeting. We treat it as a testing program, not a one-off deliverable: a steady cadence of new concepts every week, with losers cut fast and winners scaled.
How testing works
Each week we ship a batch of new angles — hooks, formats, and offers — and judge them on cost-per-result, not opinion. Roughly one in five becomes a scalable winner; the program is built to find those fast.
What we need from you
Raw assets and access: product shots, B-roll, founder or UGC clips, customer reviews, and your brand guidelines. The richer the raw material, the more angles we can test. We brief and edit; you approve.
Briefs are shared in your onboarding folder and reviewed on the weekly call. If you have an in-house creator or editor, we brief them directly so production never bottlenecks testing.
Billing & payments
You pay your ad spend directly to the platforms on your own cards — it never passes through us. Funnelyn invoices only the management fee for running the accounts. Invoices and payment live in the dashboard under Billing.
Paying your invoice
- Xendit. Cards and regional bank transfer methods, settled in the dashboard. The default for most clients.
- PayPal — 5% off. Pay any invoice with PayPal and take 5% off the management fee automatically. The discount is applied at checkout.
- Invoices. Every invoice is downloadable as a PDF from Billing, with full payment history for your finance team.
Support
You are not filing tickets into a void. Every account has a named media buyer and a client partner, and you can reach them directly.
Your buyer & client partner
Day-to-day questions, requests, and anything urgent go to the shared channel set up during onboarding. Typical response is same business day, Jakarta hours.
